I have those two casio watches and would like to know how rare (or valuable) they are. Not that I want to sell them, but if someone were so kind as to tell me I would be very grateful.
The transmitter is the more valuable. I would say $150.00 to $300.00. The UV watch isn't sold very often, but when it is it never goes over $50.00. Both are very good watches.
Interesting... Didn't know the transmitter was so much appreaciated. Anyways, I supposse that is for unused and totally new units, isn't it?
It's a pitty those casio rubber bands doesn't stand the aging as well as the case and electronics. ALL of my old watches bands started "dissintegrating" several years ago and tear in parts with the smallest bending... How do you guys do to take care of yours?
Those were good used prices. I think an FM transmitter went for $127.00 or 147.00 a month or two ago. Someone else on this board probably knows better.
As far as resin bands are concerned, they just don't last. The only way to make them last longer is to wipe them clean with a damp clean cloth. They are like sponges that abosorb oils, acids and dirt. These cause them to become brittle. If you have any stored ones with white powder on them, leave the powder on them and it will help protect them. Don't use Armor All or any other vinyl protectants. These will accelerate the hardening.
