The first batch of uWatch kits will be available mid May.
http://www.calcwatch.com

Most of the first batch are already accounted for, so I'd like to know how many of you would like to get one, so I can get more kit made up if needed.

Price is US$115+postage for the assembled PCB without the watch band (hope to have a suitable one available by the time of release, otherwise use any 20mm or 22mm watch band of your choice).

This is a "kit", you have to built it yourself. This requires gluing various parts (you supply the glue) and soldering the battery holer o the board. All of the SMD parts are fully assembled and the watch is programmed.

The order page is not up yet, it will be once I have the final kits back from the assemblers.

Any questions please ask.

Thanks
Dave.

Very nice piece, I am still interested in this unit, but...

Please consider shipping these units built and tested for a few extra dollars.

I am a geek and all, but I'm not sure I want to take a gamble at possibly breaking $100+ kit with my clumsy hands.

I was getting excited but I think I'll stick to my HP48GX for now.

I'm considering that. I'm doing a kit first because it's easier, and there are lot of people who want the kit. The first batch has already sold out with pre-sales.

I'll be more than a few extra dollars for the fully assembled one though I suspect.

Hi DaveJ,
No problem with kits as long as they come with instructions ?? Just want to ask if any programming of the ROM is required ?

Yes, full instructions will be up on the website before the first kits are released.

The FLASH ROm comes pre-programmed and the watch is tested. But if you want to update the firmware (or modify it yourself) then a PIC 24F series programmer and cable is required.
