Early 80s Aiwa portable offering multi-band radio coverage, and dated looks. We’re intrigued by the illuminated position indicator on the frequency display. It’s red until you hit a station–when you center on a station’s frequency, it turns green!! Very unusual feature not commonly offered on portable stereos.
I had one more than 30 years ago and it was the best, with a clear and sharp sound and recording of radio stations, with quality similar to a tape deck of the time. I would like to have it again, it brings back very good memories
I had an Aiwa TPR 901 cassette radio, and it was the best, too bad my house was flooded with water and it was completely damaged, because it was working and water got inside the mechanism and plate, which made it totally unusable, It was a shame, because I always liked to have it again, but there has been no occasion, its recording and sound quality, although not very powerful, was excellent, even the tuning of the radio with an analog dial, later much more advanced models came out especially one of the bulkiest and I came to really like the CS880, but it was already out of my modest budget, although either of these two models would make me dream of quality analog sound again, Aiwa at that time had a lot of quality products the Carry Audio series that were excellent, I was very sad that the brand disappeared.
